I know ShipStation is the highly recommended from a variety of ECT supporters, but our client just called and said "we want UPS Worldship" ... presumably due to a UPS presentation ... so while I certainly intend to upsell them to ShipStation, I at least need to be prepared to discuss what they called about, so my question is "Is worldship still supported" because the website says ECT only works with "Ecommerce Templates Version 6.4.2 and UPS Worldship Version 2014" and the client is on PHP 7.05 and it is my admittedly limited understanding that shippers MUST use the current/latest version of WorldShip software in order to get current shipping rates and the newest features.

So in addition to an answer to that question, does anyone have some kind of comparison or feature chart or any other helpful information that would aid in the attempt to upsell to ShipStation?

Thanks!

Hi Tim, ECT has never connected to Worldship. Perhaps you are confusing that will UPS shipping rates, which can be shown on an ECT website.

It is possible to setup a connection between Worldship and a CSV file you must export, then you can update the admin with tracking numbers from a file exported by Worldship.
NOTE - It is quite a bit to setup and will require training for whoever will use it.
I help Andy write the setup a few years back. Some of these instructions may have changed.

NOTE - We changed to Ship Station because it's all 100% automated, unlike the scenario you are asking for.

Thanks,
David
