for the database connection , is there a way to connect in php using hashed password?

I've been having a think about this but I'm not sure why you are trying to hash the password. The password for this forum for instance is hashed, but that's because you don't want me as an admin, or a hacker getting hold of your favourite password that you might have also used for access to your bank. But for your mySQL connection, can't you just use a long password of random characters that you haven't used anywhere else? It's not something you are going to be entering daily.

I've sorted out the pre-sales problem by the way.
