Hi I have set up a discount code. However where I want to put the discount code the box is greyed out? I want to give a code for those signed up to my newsletter for black Friday only. The other thing is I don't appear to be able to choose a date for the discount in the future?

Please advise

thank you, claire :)

Hi Claire,
Have you chosen 'coupon' from the coupon or discount drop down? That will be the first drop down option

Thank you - how do I schedule it so that it is only available for a specific date? … 29 November?

Hi Claire, you would set the start date for the 29th and the end date would be the 30th.

I've just tried doing that here and didn't have a problem, what version of the software are you on?

I don't have a start date and end date - I've taken a screenshot... but can't attach it here?

Not sure what version I am on, but I only bought it in February. There are newer versions available but I don't overly want to upgrade at this moment in time?

Hi Claire,
You should see something like this here - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/discounts.asp

If you go to your admin dashboard the ECT software version should be displayed near the top left of the page.

The update should not change anything on the front end design wise unless you have third part modifications

quote:
In version 7.0.2 you can set a start date and an end date for your coupons and discounts. This means they can be set in advance and will start and end automatically on the dates selected in the calendar pop up. They will begin / finish at midnight (server time).

No, mine looks completely different to the example you showed me, I have no option to add dates. I'm version 6.9.6.

Kind regards

Claire.

As Phil stated, the feature to add start/end dates was added in version 7.0.2, so you'll need a quick update to get that functionality.

Hi Peter, I have made loads of tweaks and changes to the software though? I'm not sure I could cope with doing all that within a week...?

I've pretty much changed everything from font size to spacing... xx

Hi Phil,

I may take you up on that, do you have an idiots guide I can read through? I'm assuming I am just overwriting the files in the shop hosted folder?

Thank you.
