ECT Account
The currency converter access to rates was provided by the test login and password, "testuser" and "testpw" but this is going to be phased out soon and you will be required to set up an ECT Account which will also be used for the App Store Notifications.

Were you downloading the editor from here?

It sounds like things may be getting mixed up with the ECT Account as to download from the above location doesn't require a password. I've checked your email and it is fine.
