In the " ASP / PHP Updaters and Hotfix Forum" you will note there is always a list of " Files changed since previous version" in each post. However, if you compare the "Date modified" of files contained in each updater, or use software like " Beyond Compare" to identify code modifications, you will often find that more files have been altered than those listed in the post. Yes, the Ecommerce Templates " Updater Checklist page" does in fact emphasize that we must " Make sure ALL files have been copied from the updater download to the server". But my point is that including a list of files modified could actually lead clients into making the mistake of uploading only those particular files and presuming that is all that is necessary to apply the update. To avoid that possibility, the suggestion is to not include any list of files changed at all in future Updater and Hotfix posts. Gary
