It seems that Stripe has APIs and plugins that support taking payments without leaving the e-commerce website. Cart abandonment is higher when customers are sent to a 3rd party site to complete checkout.
Magento integrations are readily available: https://stripe.com/docs/plugins/magento/cryozonic
Can we in the ECT community do the same?

I am very interested in this. I would love to be able keep my customers on my website while completing payment. I'm not 100% sure if this is do-able, but Stripe has a "Use your custom domain" option "bring your own custom domain to Stripe Checkout." There are complete instructions at https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout/custom-domains on how to do this. I am wondering if anyone has already integrated Stripe checkout to complete payments without leaving the website? If any techs out there have experience with this, please contact me. I would love to know if Mike at DLSS can help with this perhaps?

I too would like to see this.
When personally buying online I have seen quite a few stores using Stripe where payment is taken onsite and it does make the whole checkout process more seamless for the customer.

This would add some valuable polish to the checkout flow. Stripe is a first class provider, but the current integration method chosen is a bit utilitarian and somewhat reminiscent of the bad old days of auth.net SIM, 2CO, Worldpay and the like, where you got hauled off to a mismatched page on a different domain and frightened folks away at a delicate time. Having Stripe properly embedded would be a great step forward Peter Professional ecommerce web hosting services Shared hosting Windows & Linux | Dedicated servers | Domains | SSL Ecommerce Templates specialists since 2003 https://servelink.com

Hi Vince,
That's great news!
I'm afraid I haven't got a direct contact at Stripe but this link maybe of help: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/creating-a-payments-page?platform=web&ui=elements&locale=en-GB
I assume the current setup is the Prebuilt Checkout Page and reading through the Custom Payment Flow tab it seems the card info is taken in a iFrame via Strip Elements without leaving your website.
Would this work?
Regards, David

Vince, I am very happy to hear that! I will email you with the name and email address of the tech that helped me create my custom checkout domain. I think that he would be happy to continue with this as well.
