 Can not processes credit cards thru paypal

I get through step 3 of the check out process, it sends me to paypal, no matter what type of credit card I use, and submit payment, it does not do anything. It looks like it is processing a card, but sits on the screen like you made a mistake? Any ideas?

So this is actually on the PayPal site then? Is it PayPal Express or Standard? Also, is this a new site or was it working before? And if it was, did anything change recently?

This is actually on the Paypal site. Paypal Standrd. This is a new site. I have contacted Paypal and they say it is not their error??

Do you have PayPal in demo / sandbox mode in the ECT admin payment providers page?

Is the Transaction Type supposed to be "Authorization" or "Sale" ???

Also, I see "Email Payment Method" is checked....should that not be checked?

Yes, if it wasn't enabled you couldn't use it on checkout. But is it set to the sandbox / demo mode as when using that, if you don't use the correct card then it will just not sit there not doing anything as you say.

It is not in Sandbox mode. I actually used a different Paypal account and it worked. I will test it again this morning. Thanks.

It does sound account related then and in that case, PayPal should really have been a bit more helpful there. They normally are so perhaps just try again with them?
