Is it possible to have the SKU show in the cart? We have some complex products with 4-7 options and we have setup Alt Ids. I'd like to be able to show the product SKU in the checkout page as a way to confirm you have selected the correct product. The Pid can be rather long for a product with 4 or more options so showing the SKU provided the customer with a way to compare the SKU to a Pricelist or catalog and confirm they have selected the correct product. I know it's possible to show the SKU on the Product Detail page but that only shows the SKU of the top level product and not the ALT SKU after the product options have been selected.

What about if you added it to the product names in your alt ID's, would that not work for you?
