Hi,

I am currently using "Dear %ordername%" in my order status email. This comes out as "Dear John Smith" which is a bit formal. I would prefer "Dear John".

I'm aware of this parameter $usefirstlastname=TRUE; but my question is, if I use this, can I then use the first name only on the email? If so, what placeholder would I use Eg would %firstname% work?

Thank you
Ellen

Hi Ellen
There isn't a way to just use the first name I'm afraid, but it is a good idea so I'll bear it in mind for future updates.

Hi Vince

OK thank you. I'll add to the suggestions forum so hopefully it will get picked up from there ;)
