Error Installing Wordpress Themes

Posted - 10/21/2020 : 05:40:47 Hello, I tried to install the wordpress_themes.zip file in a new installation of wordpress. It givers this error: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet I tried to upload using FTP, but again it would not upload completely. Thanks, Lyn

Posted - 10/21/2020 : 19:59:17 Hi Vince, I downloaded the ECTWordpress Themes from https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/downloads.asp I would like to use ECTwpIce, because that is the theme I used for my existing website, so am imagining that it will be simpler for me to create my updated website using the same theme. Other than that, I would like to use JupiterX, if you are going to do a Child theme. Thanks, Lyn

Now some questions: Would this work if I put a copy of kennykreations on a development site and installed a child theme or EctWPIce. I would need to redo the home page. What other changes would I need to make to the ecommerce side of things? What pages would I need to delete and redo? Thanks, Lyn

I think a development site would be a really good way to go and then you can get a feel for how the new system works. As to what needs to be changing? Well the new themes are designed to work out of the box, but it does depend on how much you want to change so that should become clear if you use a development site.
