I have just had an order for an item I have unchecked as 'display product' I assumed this meant that the product couldn't be sold but apparently it can?

I marked it do not display about a week ago, I can't seem to get to it when I look for it on my site, if I try to navigate directly to the product I get a this page is not available message.

I'm baffled as to how the customer managed to order it, but I need to make sure that it can't happen again.

It's possible the customer had it in their cart from before the product was marked as not to display. I'll look into this on Monday but it's probably not going to be something that will keep happening.
