I have 1000's of products to input, and I have some individuals in the far east offering to input products at an affordable rate in comparison to having this done over here.

My main concern is no visibility of an audit trail. I understand I can setup a new user, and lock this down so that individual working on my data entry from abroad can access the product admin only, which is great. However is there no way that I can set a user to not have the ability to edit or delete products that have been entered on already.

And in terms of the audit trail, is there any log anywhere where I can view what a user has been accessing on admin? So I can see if they have tried to edit products that were already inputted from before and just anything else?

I have found a great website where individuals are offering to enter 100 products for $25, to me this is a very affordable price but I want to be able to have peace of mind in terms of keeping admin tamper free.

I just need to see the data and I can set up a copy database on my server, input it there then just send you an sql dump.

You do really need to be careful using people you don't know and have no transparency.

Hi Phil,

The images need to be saved from the suppliers website. The description price etc also from the suppliers website, each product as a single colour may have 2 - 5 images depending on which brand.

I don't have the data/images to hand to import in, is that what you meant?
