History - This site owner setup & looks after his own site, it's been online about 5 years, no issues until the hosting company updated & removed PHP 5.6 & updated all sites to PHP 7.x. Site owner had no warning until orders stopped, & this site takes masses of orders, so they knew almost instantly there's something amiss. This is when my phone starts to ring, Happy Days!

The site has been on ECT V 6.5.x for a good while, cust can't recall how long, & to get it going I had to put up a later version of incfunctions.php, which brought the site back online, albeit not exactly how it should be. I ran a 7.2 updater & the site is back, albeit needing a few tweaks, & it functions 99% as before. Prior to this stage trying to access any webpage for the site resulted in zilch.

But when customer has made payment on the Worldpay site they are usually returned to site & the thanks page & the order is automatically authorised in the admin. That isn't happening & orders now need authorising. Payments are being received. What is being displayed to the customer is one the following screens

With the original customppreturn.php file the screen below is shown,

With the later customppreturn.php file the screen below is shown

The site only has Worldpay as a payment provider.

The reason I put up a later version of incfunctions.php is because every so often an error message was displayed on screen stating an issue in that file. There are no error message files anywhere in the site files, which I find a bit strange

Ideas on a postcard please!

Hi Steve
The first thing I would really do is apply the full updater, as adding a latest incfunctions with a v6.5 cart just isn't going to work.
Then make sure the db_conn_open.php file has been updated for PHP 7...

Depending on the age you might need ectcart files...

But then, worldpay shouldn't need a custom payment processor as that's been built into the cart for years. Are they using a custom worldpay integration? It may be that their scripts need updating and if you zip up the customppsend and return scripts and send them to me (vince AT ecomm...) I'll take a look.

Hi Vince

Thanks for your reply.

I will go and visit the site owner on Monday then I can get to see his Worldpay setup as I know in the admin he is using a custom setup for Worldpay due to him having issues when he initially setup this site 5 - 6 years ago.

Just a clarification from my initial post,; Yes, the 7.2.4 updater was fully applied on 3rd Dec in full & the includes file syntax was changed to <?php <?> & the db_open_conn.php file syntax was also changed to the version 7 syntax. The reason I added a later incfunctions file was that the site was occasionally showing an error in that file on screen & by doing so brought most of the site back up, all be it skew whiff.

That then allowed me to access all URLs via the browser. Prior to that I couldn't access any URL for the site so running the updatestore file was a none starter. It worked as a bit of a 'jump start'. I'll update as & when

Hi Vice

I have emailed those two files as a ZIP. The site is using Cardsave as the Worldpay processor, not a standalone Worldpay setup

Hi Steve
The two files you sent me seem to be the default blank ones distributed with the updater. There is nothing really in them.

Hi again Vince

Received & uploaded those files but sadly still the same. The payments via Worldpay were always auto authorised (I think) but now they are all needing authorisation but the customer isn't sure whether the transaction is successful with the error message from the thanks.php page. It appears that the transaction is successful but just needs authorising in the admin.

Hi Steve
In that case can you set the following in includes.php
$debugmode=TRUE;
Then try a test transaction and that should print the parameters passed to the thanks page. Then could you copy and paste those in an email to me along with the site FTP login and I'll take a look at what is up.
