Hello,
Is it possible to add videos to the product records? If so, can the video be an embedded link from youtube?
Thanks

Thanks.
It works in the product description fields, but I can't get it to work in the giant image field.

Hi David,
I purchased a magicthumb license (got Magic Thumb v3.0.18) from the download. I followed the ecommercetemplates instructions but don't know from the instructions how to add the video. If I try to add to images, it just comes back as bad file format.
How do I add the video?
Thanks, Peter

If you have magic thumb setup and working with images, then to add a video, in the large mage field place the image (thumbnail for your video) images/video.jpg for example Then in the giant image field place the link to the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFdT0cwTin0 for example.

OK Vince and David, here is how I got it to work.
Video is an MP4 and is saved in my root ../videos Next I used the small image from my products page in the "Large Image" field. ( I will need to make the image look like a video image) In the "Giant Image" field to the right I put the path to the video in the field and clicked submit. This is where the confusion is, Do not select the Upload Image button to upload image as you will get ERROR! Illegal File Type. The Video will now play from our site, no need to link to YouTube. see https://www.canadacutlery.ca/proddetail.asp?prod=%23ES-C115R
Not sure if it is easy to provide a simple connector in the Image Mgr. to link videos as the ERROR! Illegal File message really thru me off. Thanks David it was your instructions that really made it work for me.
Regards, Peter

Hi Peter, Just my thoughts here. If you only have a few videos, and they are short, then sure, host them on your site, but if your videos are longer and you have a number of them, you should consider you-tube or similar. You don't want to drive up bandwidth on you server for something you can get for free. quote: The Video will now play from our site, no need to link to YouTube
Thanks, David
