Hi,

With the version 7.2.5 update, on the Orders Admin page, when we choose Printable Packing Slip or Printable Invoice and then click Print, a large gray shaded box appears at the bottom of the form as shown below. We've verified that the gray box appears on the printed page.

Can anyone suggest how to suppress the box or make it invisible when printed? Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul, that shouldn't be happening.
With the latest update, there was some big changes to the admin css, so you might want to check to be sure all of the files from the update made it over as it could be a css issue.

Can you check that.
Also please confirm you admin shows the new black theme layout.

Thanks,
David

David, thanks for this.

Our 7.2.5 Admin page (which produces the gray background issue, and is currently only deployed on our sandbox) does have the new black color scheme.

Per the image below, it seems like a change in the v7.2.5 forms causes Microsoft Edge (formerly IE) to show its default gray #E6E6E6 background below the form content.

The same MS Edge CSS is visible when we inspect the 7.1.11 print page, but on the 7.1.11 forms the #E6E6E6 background color isn't visible and doesn't print.

Hi Pauld
In the inspector there this is referencing a style in index.css on line 11 and that style sheet (index.css) isn't part of the ECT admin. Could it be this is something you added for the footer?

Vince, thanks for this.

I suspect index.css is something in the MS Edge print script, as there's no such file on our site.

I'll ask our fulfillment staff to print packing slips with Chrome or Firefox until we can figure out how to override this.

Hi Paul
If you hold the mouse over "index.css" it should show you the full path . . . if there is one.

Vince, thanks for this.

Per the screen shot below, our MS Edge browser 88.0.705.63 shows "edge://print/edge_pdf/edge_pdf/index.css:11" as the path to the CSS file with the gray background, regardless of whether we choose Print to PDF or a physical printer.

However, in the MS Edge print dialog box, under More Settings, if we clear the "Background graphics" checkbox the gray fill doesn't print.

Thankfully, unlike other MS Edge print settings like Scale, the cleared "Background graphics" checkbox seems to persist from one print job to the next.

So it looks like we have the solution for our fulfillment staff and no further follow-up should be needed.

Again, we really appreciate your help.
