Hi,
As of the last three days, I stopped receiving order confirmation emails. I have made no changes to my website settings and have checked my email account to verify if was not full. Any idea what could be going wrong?
Thank you, Eddie World of One Sixth

Hi Vince,
I've added the debug line to my includes.php file and tested it by sending an email to a friend but it still does not work.
I'm not sure what went wrong.

Hi Vince,
The email friend feature has always been set to true.
I've added the debug code as instructed.
I've sent an email friend to several of my and my friends email accounts and nothing. I'm not sure what is happening.
I will reach out to my customers and inquire as to whether they are receiving order confirmation emails as well.
Thank you, Eddie World of One Sixth

Hi Vince,
I do get daily emails to my account from PayPal confirming an order was placed. I just no longer get the order details from my website.
Any other ideas?
Thank you, Eddie World of One Sixth

Hi Eddie, when you set the debug parameter, you get the debug info right there on the screen. If you are not seeing that, then it suggests that you do not have that parameter set in your includes file, or the file have not been uploaded to the server. Being that in your original post, you mention there have been no changes to the site, as Vince suggests, have you contacted the host to ask them to check the email server?
Thanks, David

If you use Godaddy for hosting then check with them. This happened often with me when I was using godaddy.
Same thing every time - Emails would stop, I call them, they tell me there is nothing wrong at their end and my website is to blame.... and within minutes the emails would magically start working again for a few more months.

I placed the debug code directly below the email friend and it appears as so:
// Email Options
$debugmode=TRUE; $useemailfriend=TRUE; $useaskaquestion=TRUE; $inlinepopups=TRUE; $htmlemails=TRUE;
When I send an email to friend I get this pop up notice:
Thank you, your recommendation has been sent. Please click below to close this window.
I do have GoDaddy as my provider and typically when I stop getting emails it's due to my email server being full. I checked my server and found it to be mostly empty so that cannot be the issue.
I'm stumped.

I called Godaddy and they sent me a test email and it came through to my email account.
Any other ideas what could be going wrong? Anyone encounter this before as well?

Hi Eddie, receiving emails is not really the problem though, it's "sending" emails from the server. Did Godaddy somehow send an email from your server? quote: they sent me a test email and it came through to my email account

For everyone's information.
GoDaddy found out the issue. I added Mailchimp's new Contact Page form to my website and it started sending me spam emails since reCaptcha was not added to the form. I addressed the issue and my emails are now coming in.
If anyone uses the Mailchimp contact form be sure to add reCaptcha so this issue does not happen to you.

Hi Eddie - that's great you have it sorted. However, I'm not sure that recaptcha was completely the issue as I use the very same Mailchimp contact form on 2 of my sites without the need for recaptcha. Perhaps GoDaddy tweaked something else too Still - at least it's working again! Regards, Steve
