Square transaction description missing

Posted - 08/19/2021 : 07:10:29 The transaction description is coming in as "custom amount" instead of the product items that were ordered. Also the customer information does not show up in the square dashboard only the order id which makes to more difficult to reconcile. John

lcreagh Starting Member USA 5 Posts Pre-sales questions only (More Details...)	Posted - 07/29/2022 : 09:15:27 I've spent an hour on a chat session with Square and they have no answer as to why the transaction details are not displayed. Has anyone gotten this to work?
Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 07/31/2022 : 01:38:06 Hi lcreagh If I remember correctly this was because it wasn't possible to display discounts so the cart items couldn't be displayed. As I understand Square are changing to a new API so we'll be looking at that shortly and that may make things easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can see that the information is getting to Square, it just doesn't populate on the transaction - the only thing I can see on the transaction is Order ID.
