when I click on the ask question button a popup opens to enter email,name and ask your question, then it freezes the page and have to refresh it I also don't get a notification that someone emailed a question. Anyone know what might be wrong?

I have just tried the Ask a Question on the website in your signature & that works as expected.

When you say the page freezes are you relating to the page content once the Ask a Question popup is on screen? If so that is how it should be, ie; none of the content behind the greyed out area is clickable until the popup is closed & it then goes back to normal, or is there something else you may be meaning.

It gets the popup but after asking question it doesn't show the thanks popup it just closes the popup and the page stays faded and can't click on anythig have to refresh the page I also don't get a email notification that someone asked a question

I've just tested it using Internet Explorer and didn't have a problem. I also tested using Firefox without issues.

Do you mean that you have your Gmail address in the store admin? When you recieved the email from my first Ask a Question was that to an email address on your domain - eg: myemail at creativewoodworksusa - dot - com ?

In the store admin > Main Settings > Email Settings how many email addresses have you in th email address field?

Do you have an email on your domain, eg: myemail at creativewoodworksusa - dot - com

FYI the test I did earlier was from a Windows10 laptop using Firefox 92.0

Update ** I have just successfully sent another Ask a Question from my Android 11 handset, works perfectly. You should recieve a second enquiry

No I have store email on that domain the others are gmail and icloud that aren't conected to the store

Do you have any idea why it won't work for me i've tried it on pc, laptop and phone locks up page everytime and not getting email.I get the order email from the store just not ask queation and it doesn't send emails to customer

Found the problem, its my internet service(Spectrum) everything is on wifi but tried it at the grocery store and it works.

is there a way to make the emailfriend.php page into a popup window?

Hi Mike

On your site - https://creativewoodworksusa.com/products.php the emailafriend option isn't showing, only the Ask a Question.

From V6.6 you can enable the emailfriend using the Social Media buttons & once the folowing entry is in your includes file then the emailafriend shows in the same way as the Ask a Question

$socialmediabuttons='askaquestion,emailfriend, facebook,linkedin,twitter,pinterest,google';

Also bear in mind that the buttons will appear in the order they are laid out in the includes file, more info at this link
