Hi,

I'd love to set up a product bundle so that customers can get a discount if they buy 2 different products together.
I can't figure out how the customer chooses their options for each of the products though? All that's coming up on my page is an add to cart button and no information on either of the products included?

What am I missing?

Say for example (I don't sell clothes but this feels like a simple way to explain), a customer was buying a t-shirt and shorts bundle. There appears to be no way for them to select what sizes they want, or that they want a red t-shirt and blue shorts etc??

Hi Gemma

If you open the user manual & go to page 127 the instructions are there to create product packages & bundles, that should help you out. Clicking the following link should open the user manual in another browser widow.

Hi Gemma
I think the link Steve posted has some good general information, but specifically for the options I think you would have to add them to the package itself rather than to the items in the package. Your Clothes Bundle would then have a T-Shirt Color option for instance.

Ok, I don't think the bundle option is really going to do what I want it to do then. I was hoping it would be able to populate the product description with details from the included products, but it doesn't seen to do that, it just lists them. Actually on the product page it doesn't even seem to do that, I can't see what's actually in the bundle until I add to cart? Unless I'm missing something? (admittedly I haven't looked at the manual yet).

I'm not sure I actually understand the point of it if it doesn't show any information? What benefit would I get from having a 'bundle' as opposed to just creating a single listing for 2 products?

The benefit is that if you have 3 of 4 items that go together the customer only has to add one item to the cart. Stock will be handled on each of the items But probably the best way to try is set up a test product. Why not create a category under a login and add a test product to that? Then you can see how it works and if it will do what you need.

I've tried setting up a test product but it doesn't seem to give any information as to what's in the bundle? I made a product and called it 'bundle', added a couple of items to it but when I look at it on my site it's just a blank product? I assumed that it would draw images and descriptions etc from the products in the package but I must have mistunderstood.

I can see now what you mean about inventory, apart from that it seems that I would still have to write out a description and add product options etc as if this were a product in it's own right? For me that defeats the object (as my products are made to order I have no need to keep an inventory), I might as well just write up a new product without using the package feature.
The only thing is that some of my products use the same product options so I'm not sure if that will work either without having to create a duplicate option for each individual product.

Is there any other way to be able to sell two products for a set price? I've looked for a workaround in the discounts but I can't get my head around whether it's possible and if so how?
