As of December 6, 2021 v6.6.7 of ECT no longer works for USPS shipping. Our website has been done ever since because USPS is returning "no shipping methods available". We have spent literally weeks on this problem working with USPS and finally their tech support has stated that the problem with your ECT. We need make changes to use HTTPS in place of HTTP. We have never been able to move to a higher version of ECT because GoDaddy has had our server on one of their old machines where PHP7.x is not available, so we could never update our ECT.

If we move to a new server and we upgrade from v6.6.7 to the latest (v7.3.8) version without having to change anything?

Hi Jim,

I had Major problems with "No Go" Daddy years ago and left them.

I highly recommend switching to ServeLink. (https://servelink.com/linux-hosting) The transition is painless and their support (if you need them) is excellent.

They are always up on all the latest security features and PHP versions.

They are also very versed with ECT websites.

It certainly looks like a good idea to move to a new server. But at the same time, PHP 7+ isn't actually a requirement.

There may well be things that need tweaking after an update like this. But we actually have a service which you can add to the updater purchase to have us install the update and give the site a CSS Check Over. It's well worth it...
