Can options be set up to trigger new SKU's?

For example, if I sell a product that is one size, the SKU is 12345, but if the customer selects the larger size, the SKU is 45678.

I need to know because my supplier pulls products based on the dropshipping email. I'd prefer not to have the same table listed 5 times in my catalog with the five different sizes listed.

Hi, the options would need to be setup using the alt id system as outlined here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/alt-prod-id.asp You may also need this in the vsadmin/includes > Show options in cart that use product alt id

When added to cart, the option is not shown separately for products using the alt prod id feature but if you do need it listed in the cart, use the following.

addalternateoptions=TRUE

I would say try it with one first.
