Hello;

I am trying to update ECT and I wasn't sure I could do a direct update from version 5.9.3 to the latest 7..4.6 but I am getting a error that seems it should be a big issue. I put the error I am getting below.

"Checking for Multiple Shipping Method upgrade

Adding admin cert column
An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.

If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error.
"

Can you please help to fix this as soon as you are able?

Thank you

Hi Praetorian
You should normally be able to update from any version to the latest in one go but sorry to hear you are having problems with this. What we need to do is see what the actual error message is here so could you ask your host if they could turn detailed error messages on then try again. Then post here what the error message is.

When on click on the "here" it takes too this page.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/application-frameworks/running-classic-asp-applications-on-iis-7-and-iis-8/classic-asp-not-installed-by-default-on-iis

It seems like this issue isnt producing a error from what I see. No entry in error logs and none show at the URL level. can you specific how to make sure a report gets generated. The server itself shows errors are enabled.it seems all the error settings are in place.

Hi Praetorian
Did you ask your host about the detailed error messages? Without the details of the error it's really hard to figure out what is going on. Here are some examples of what your host needs to do to see the error details...

Hi Vince; Does this message help or do you need more info than this?

The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

Hi Scott
From looking around the 'net it seems you could have a bit of corruption in the database. If you want me to take a look at it please send the site FTP login to my email at vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com

I think that is a problem with the updatestore.asp script because of the version you are on. Can you download the updater again and copy the new version of the updatestore.asp script (that I've just changed) to your site and run that. That should hopefully sort this problem out.
