We put barcode numbers in the SKU box. Always just a string of numbers but often they get turned into something like this: 7.59606E+16
Also, another thing that happens quite a bit is that the last two digits will, at some point be turned to "00" even though that's NEVER the case with the numbers that we are inputting. It's definitely not a case of user input error. It doesn't happen instantly, either. Any ideas what might be causing it? Could it be something in the way the server-side?
I'm not sure if it's a clue but, the numbers that ARE correct almost all get changed to something like the first example I gave when I download an inventory csv. I RARELY do any inventory updates via csv.

There is a thread with a link to how to solve that problem with Excel. Unfortunately I do not recall it. However, the simple solution is when you download the CSV file to update products, DELETE the pSKU column before uploading and the numbers will not change in the database. You do not need to upload every column if nothing in it has changed. The critical must have column is the pID.

Highlight the data > right-click > format cells > number (no decimal places)

Save the file but leave it open > upload the file

Closing the file and reopening it will revert the data back to it's original format.
