Currently when customers receive the thanks page after a purchase, with customer reviews turned on, they see a rather unsightly page that looks like this:

Would like to have the URL shown as the Product Name link. Any way to do this?

Are you sure that's not some mod you have there.
I don't think that's a stock feature of the cart.

Hi Dave,
Yes, it's a replacement field, %reviewlinks%, feature of the Email Message Headers and Footers as documented here:
https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/email-messages.asp#orderstatus

The code for it is in incemail.php and processing of it is in ajaxservice.php

Hi kmkelso,

I hadn't noticed this before but you're right, the review link uses the product ID rather than the product name.
I agree that it would be much more useful/helpful for the customer to simply see the product name with the link taking them to review.

I think you should add this to the suggestions forum.
I imagine it's something Vince could sort out relatively easily.

Sorry kmkelso, I wasn't aware you could use that on the thanks page.
Really, you might want to ask for a review there as they have not received the product yet, so how can they review?
What we do is move orders from shipped status, to completed about a month after they ship.
This email has the review links and at this stage, customers typically have had the chance to use the product(s).

Thanks,
David

Interesting idea Dave. We're actually doing that now with Google Reviews. Essentially capturing 2 reviews, one at purchase time with this ECT function which populates the ECT db, and the other 2 weeks later through Google to attain SEO ranking.

Thanks also Steve for the idea. I will copy this over to that forum. It may be a simple href tag change.

Best,
Karl
