Ok... here is a weird one.

Upon doing a lighthouse test on my website it all of a sudden claims it doesn't see the "meta name=viewport" tag when it is clearly listed on the page.

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">

I am stumped as to why it's not seeing it.

It also claims it doesn't see the "meta name=description" tag either.

<meta name="description" content="Premier Polymer Coated Bullets and Hard Cast Lead Bullets for Competitive Shooting" />

Any thoughts?

Hi Patrick
I tried a Lighthouse audit on your site and I get this...
quote:
Has a <meta name="viewport"> tag with width or initial-scale
I really think it is maybe a problem with the version of Lighthouse that you are using as there really seems to be a viewport.

We already solved this for Patrick this morning. He had a byte order mark before the opening PHP tag in his vsadmin/inc/languagefile_en.php which was mucking up the output of the document head. Fun times searching the site for hours looking for an invisible element, but it has been expelled and all is now fixed

Peter,

I can't say thank you enough. I too spent hours trying to find it.

I updated my version of the file inc/languagefile_en.php per your tech support recommendation.

Before I updated it I opened the file in Notepad++ and viewed it in Hex mode and YES... there it is.

I have no idea how that BOM got in there.

I'm very grateful. Thank you and your crew for the BEST customer service.

Patrick
