ECT Login - Table 'ajaxfloodcontrol' is read only

Our web host had an outage earlier today with temporary loss of access to websites on their cPanel servers.

Services look to be coming back up again and front end of the website looks to be running correctly.

But currently unable to login to the ECT control panel. When entering the admin login details we're getting the "Login Disabled: (Flood Control. Please wait 5 seconds between login attempts)" warning - and then in the top left of the login screen can also see a text error message "Table 'ajaxfloodcontrol' is read only".

Any ideas what needs tweaking to get things back on course again with control panel.

Many thanks,

Neil

Hi Neil
It does look I'm afraid like your database isn't in a healthy state so please do just push your host on this for now and they should get this sorted for you.

Hi Vince,

Thanks for the reply.

The host was having further issues with MySQL connectivity overnight after I posted the message.

They now seem to have got the database side of things back on track again but I'm still getting the same error when trying to access the ECT control panel "Login Disabled: (Flood Control. Please wait 5 seconds between login attempts)" warning - and then in the top left of the login screen can also see a text error message "Table 'ajaxfloodcontrol' is read only".

Do you think using the ECT admin password reset tool might resolve the issue or is there something specific the host should be doing on the server side of things that I need to tell them to do?

Many thanks,

Neil

Also seeing the same "Table 'ajaxfloodcontrol' is read only" error message when trying to use the client login facility.

I think this really will be because the table is read only. Could you get your host to look into that for you?

Hi Vince,

Thanks for your further reply and I think you're right about the table being read only - from phpmyadmin I can see that 3 tables (abandonedcaremail, ajaxfloodcontrol and productpackages are currently flagged read only (their table "Types" are also showing as InnoDB rather than MyISAM for the rest of the tables in the database just in case that is part of the problem).

I can't see any way to make the necessary changes from my side of the fence so currently pushing the host to make the changes so the read only flag is removed from the problem tables.... but I think they're still in fire fighting mode after the outage yesterday so not quite as quick off the mark as they would normally be.

Thanks again.

Neil

Hi Neil
Can you send the phpMyAdmin login details to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) and I'll see if I can sort this out for you.
