Hi Vince,

I asked you about this once before - when you add a product to the cart and then click on 'checkout' it takes you to this page. At the bottom next to the blue checkout button there is a PayPal button. How do i remove the button? (It only takes the customer to the PayPal login page with no payment details)

Start at this page then add the product to cart and checkout
https://www.abbyeagle.com/myshop/proddetail.php?prod=OC-01

It takes you to this page
https://www.abbyeagle.com/myshop/cart.php

At the bottom next to the blue checkout button there is a PayPal button. How do i remove the button?

BTW is it possible to add a screenshot?

Abby

Hi, it's just a matter of going into the admin>Orders Admin>Payment Providers>See full list of payment processors, and disabling the one you do not want to use.
It sounds like you want to do away with Paypal express.

NOTE - If you are using Paypal Payments Pro (Paypal Direct) then it turns on Paypal express automatically as Paypal says it's required.
I was able to get around that by setting Paypal express to a high login level that I do not use.
Of course Paypal may come to you in this scenario about not using express, but in many years of using them (I no longer do though) and speaking to them on the phone about Paypal express, and why I did not want to use it, they never told me I must use it.

Thanks,
David

Yes it is.
Once you have your screenshot, upload to some webspace, eg: https://www.abbyeagle.com/images-fluid/banner-abbys-site-1232-2.jpg & confirm the image is viewable in a browser

Once you see the image via a browser all you need do in your forum post is surround the screenshot image URL in the image tags [ img ] [ /img ] (no spaces between the brackets) & in my example you will see below your website head image

Keep your image width ideally to about 700 - 900px so as not to end up with ultra wide forever horizontally scrolling images

Hi 1818Charlie,

If i take a screenshot of part of a page in the Chrome browser using 'shift+windows+s' keys - how do i paste that image into the forum post?

Hi Abby

Exactly the same procedure as in my previous post. I have uploaded a screenshot of my previous post showing the forum editor view & from that I have highlighted in green how the image URL should look. The opening & closing img tags must have no spaces between the [ & the ]

Hi David, Thanks for your help. I just disable PayPal Express - and it seems to have worked okay with a test purchase.

Thanks Steve, but it is a bit of work to take the screen shot then paste it into Photoshop - save the file then upload to my website - and type the image link into the forum message box. Is that how you do it or is there an easier way? Abby

Hi Abby

I screenshot directly in my photo editing software save as a jpg then run that through https://tinyjpg.com to make the filesize much smaller. Then I just FTP the image to a web domain, in this example into the imgs folder so that the image URL is then https://mydomain.com/imgs/nameofimage.jpg. Takes me all of 2 minutes!

I never use the browsers screenshot facility

I use windows "snip" tool which saves as jpg or png file in a nice small file size.
FTP it up to a folder marked "forum" in my images folder of my site, then link to file here with img tags.

Like Steve, it only takes a few moments.
