This problem with the versions was resolved a couple of weeks ago so it should be ok now. What makes you say the version is v7.5.3?

I ordered the updated today, received the email, clicked the link in the email, and the file it linked to and which downloaded, was phpupdater7.5.zip. when I extracted that file, it extracted to phpplusupdate_v7.5.3_ and asked me if I wanted to overwrite existing files.

That prompted my search of the forum to see if it was happening to anyone else.

We're trying to get the necessary updates for Square, as our customers currently cannot enter credit card information.

I've just uploaded the updater again with some more changes for Square for Google Pay, Apple Pay and Strong Customer Authentication. Can you try one more time and if everything doesn't go according to plan this time please send the site FTP login to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) and I'll do the update for you.
