Hi folks,

I have a site that's been up and running for several years using an ECT PHP template.

The client has been probing the site using Google PageSpeed Insights. Results are good for desktop (score of 81) but poor for mobile devices (score of 37).

Google is recommending that we "Reduce unusedJavascript" and "Defer offscreen images" amongst other things.

Are there ways of doing this?

I find the GTmetrix website most helpful for optimising page load speed: [url="https://gtmetrix.com/"][blue]https://gtmetrix.com/[/blue][/url]
There are Help pages there to explain how you might address identified issues.

The slideshow is a performance hit. Clicking the <= and => arrows has no effect; not functioning correct. On some websites I dumped whopper slideshows to achieve more acceptable page load speed scores.

Also, using Google Chrome if you right-click then Inspect, view Console tab, note there are a bunch of Errors and Warnings to resolve.
