I thought that there was a way to plug into "special" FedEx Rates for high volume customers ... can someone please confirm IF it's possible and how to config the cart for it?

Hi Tim, there are many settings for showing shipping rates, including your negotiated rates you might have with fedex.
However, if you are wanting to show a different shipping rate to customers based on their purchase history, that's not a built in feature.

Thanks,
David

The FedEx Shipping page (https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/fedex.asp) under Troubleshooting says that after setting debugxmlemails=TRUE in INCLUDES that "will provide you with an email containing the xml shipping information once you've put through a test order." .... does that go to the confirmation email set on main page settings or the registered FedEx account email?

Plus still hoping to find out how to support FedEx "negotiated rates".

Thanks Dave!

Apparently “FedEx Ground” is for commercial delivery and “FedEx Home Delivery” is for residential, so that explains why “FedEx Ground” was not offered as a shipping option.

When I activated “FedEx Home Delivery”, it showed up on the ship screen.

The FedEx guy also suggested that, according to the XML debug file I sent him to figure out if NEGOTIATED rates were being used, he said the cart’s “Web Services” version for the cart is old because their version is 29 and the cart is using version 9 according to the XML data and FedEx, and it should be updated in the shopping cart.

The FedEx rep also mentioned a "residential flag" that could be set to force residential shipping only (?)

More importantly, he said calculated rates in the cart will more closely match their negotiated rates with the update for FedEx Web Services to their current version of 29, instead of version 9 as indicated by the "FedEx Debug XML" code.

Hi, you should send Vince a message here (click his user name) or send an email to vince at ecommercetemplates.com so he can take a look at updating the fedex connection.

With that said, if you use Home delivery - there should be no need to set a residential flag as that service is not used (and priced) for commercial deliveries.

If you like, you can also do an across the board percentage discount for fedex rates by setting this in your includes - $discountshippingfedex=20; where 20 is the percentage of the discount you want to offer.

Thanks,
David
