I've added forceclientlogin=true to the includes.asp file. This requires people to login in order to check out.

Is it possible to force people to log in before than can see products?

The only way i can think to do that may be to set all categories to a login level - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/parameters.asp#loginlevel and then you would set (if you want to) the default login levels for new accounts - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/parameters.asp#loginlevel
Of course you can manually set those new account if you prefer to review them first.

Keep in mind you might want to add a message to all pages that they much have an account to view products and with some custom coding you can set that text to only appear when a visitor is not logged in.

Why would you want to do that? Personally, if I am forced to log into a website to see anything, I leave. You may discover I am not the only person who feels this way. I see it as a way for a website to get my email address when I am not inclined for them to have it. It will also cause problems when it comes to indexing your website by search engines.

The reason this customer wants to force a login to view products is this is all for just one client with lots of employees. They recently got a contract with Lake County, FL to provide copy machine products. County employees can create an account for their department.

Thank you for the advice. I'll check with him to be sure this is what he want's to do.
