PayPal Checkout option no AVS or CVV

Posted - 06/24/2023 : 11:37:32 I recently switched from Paypal standard to PayPal Checkout as I was getting a lot of email from PayPal saying I was using an older version of there checkout software.. and they recommended I switch to something like PayPal Checkout. However, now on my orders admin in ecommercetemplates I no longer get the AVS or CVV codes showing up. That area that us to have a Y or N is now just blank Scott Scott

Vince Administrator 42644 Posts	Posted - 06/25/2023 : 10:16:33 Hi Scott We've just spent the last few weeks working with PayPal to integrate the v2 PayPal Checkout system and the AVS and CVV information is incorporated into that. All is working except for the AVS and CVV... and with PayPal Chackout the invoice number is no longer getting passed to PayPal, or at least when I search for an invoice number in PayPal in all activity, since I switched from PayPal Standard to PayPal checkout, invoice numbers are no longer available to search by. You need the latest v7.6.1 updater which is here... https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/updaters.asp Then when that is installed go to the ECT Admin -> Payment Providers admin page and you should see the PayPal Checkout signup wizard. quadrant Ecommerce Template Guru United Kingdom 1110 Posts	Posted - 07/29/2023 : 02:27:45 Hi Ian, When you visit the payment providers page you should see the new PayPal checkout wizard. It's the ID 27 option you mention in your list. We have added this a couple of days ago and it's a great improvement over PayPal Standard. If you use the wizard that Vince mentioned you will see there is a checkbox you can select to enable unbranded credit/debit card payments. We didn't select this as we use Stripe but if you do then you can accept cards which is what I think you are after although you will need a PayPal business account for this. You can also add PayPal Express if needed when using PayPal Checkout as well as Pay in 3 etc. Regards, David

Vince Administrator 42644 Posts	Posted - 08/03/2023 : 11:46:35 Hi Scott If you are using the Advanced Cards integration with PayPal Checkout then you get both AVS and CVV as these come directly from the payment gateway. But when using the regular cards or PayPal account then what you are actually seeing is the seller protection status of the order. A green tick means you are covered, the "half" symbol you are partially covered and a cross for no cover.
