Moneris Hosted Pay Page under attack

Midas Starting Member Canada 33 Posts	Posted - 09/10/2023 : 14:51:16 I am using the Moneris payment processor Hosted Pay Page which has been retired for over a year. I have had 20,000 attacks from hackers working on verifying their stolen credit cars and Moneris is saying I must upgrade to their new "Moneris Checkout". Can you provide any updates to ECT for this? Thanks for your continuing support...Michael

But firstly, have you got the latest Moneris updates as they were last changed in 2021 it seems... https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/free_downloads.asp#payment Also, it could be that Moneris are passing back the actual card value that is incorrect (for instance indicating that the CVV value or the expiry date is incorrect) and if that's the case, changing this line in customppreturn.asp to something generic may help. For instance... Change this... errtext = strip_tags2(request.form("message")) ...to this... errtext = "We're sorry but your card cannot be processed" We'll look into the new Moneris API asap but I'm just thinking of things to get you going for now.
