I want to allow the customer to apply a coupon code but also use their gift certificate to check out. When the user adds the gift certificate to the order it removes the discount amount from the order.

Is there a way to use both a coupon code and Gift Certificate in the same order?

I just tried that test here and it seemed fine to tell the truth, and I can't see why you shouldn't use a coupon and a gift certificate together. Is the URL changing between HTTP and HTTPS or www. and non-www. by any chance?
