If I mark something as Product Discount Exempt, I believe it still gives any member our assigned 10% discount but not something like either a specific category or site-wide discount. Am I right that it does cancel out any free shipping as well?

There are actually 2 exemptions there, the "Product discount exempt" and "Free shipping exempt" and you would have to check the second one to cancel out free shipping.

These exemptions don't work for the Customer Login / Client Account discounts but they were never designed to really. I think we need to find a better way to call the account discounts like, "Wholesaler margin" or something like that.
