Hello,
I'm trying to setup stock management, so when the product is sold the number will decrease after checkout.
I turned on stock management in the main settings but after the sale it stays the same.

I must be missing some other script for the includes page but I can't seem to find it on the site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Normally all you need to do is turn on stock management in the store admin. But could it be possible that the product has stock set by the options in which case it's the option stock that is reduced?

If I add this line $productpagelayout='instock'; to the vsadmin/includes.php page will this turn on the product in stock counter that will decrease when there is a sale of the item?

What that would do is display the current stock level on your product pages. And as it is the only element in the $productpagelayout list that is all you would get for each product.
When you test your purchase are you going all the way to the "thanks" page? It's not when products are added to cart that stock is reduced but when you complete payment.
