Hi Vince, I received a report last week from one of my clients that they have a problem with PayPal Checkout when making a partial refund. I didn't actually believe them at first but they were quite certain there was a problem. So I ran a test on my own site for a £2.00 order, did a partial refund for £1.00 in my PayPal account and after doing so it set the status of the order in the admin to cancelled. Also, although the status was now set to cancelled the stock wasn't replenished. I would have thought the status should only be set to cancelled if a full refund was issued? This behaviour on my test transaction/order was exactly how the client described it to me *Contact Us**Buy The PHP Capture Card Plugin**Rate Our Services/View Our Feedback*

Vince,
I've had the same problem happening. I've done 2 updates to try to correct it & it's still happening.

I believe it's the same problem because it's doing the same thing as before, just like Phil described.
This is the latest updater on my website v7.7.4
When I do the update, I add all the files so I have no idea why it's not working.
I will download the latest updater again & add this file for the 3rd time to see if it makes a difference. vsadmin/ajaxservice.php file
I don't do a lot of refunds, so it might be a while before I will be able to check it again.

Phil sorry to hijack your thread, you how do you do a refund in the admin that effects your Paypal. Ive always had to do it in both places manually.

This is happening when a partial refund is processed through a PayPal account, not from the admin. In doing so the order status is set to cancelled. *Contact Us**Buy The PHP Capture Card Plugin**Rate Our Services/View Our Feedback*

I just refunded a customer for shipping overages on Sunday (6/23/24) through Paypal & when I went back to my control panel to update the order status to "Shipped", the customers order status was changed to "Cancelled" & the stock for the items she had in her cart were changed. Whenever the order status is changed, the customer gets an update. The "Cancelled" order status obviously causes major confusion.

Hi Phil quote: Any thoughts on this please?
I'm not going to make excuses or anything like that . . . just hang my head in shame, etc. Sorry for the delay. But I just tried this here and everything seems to be ok. Unless you actually change the order status, the status won't (in theory anyway) be changed. So there must be something I'm missing. The first thing to do I guess would be to look at your store and so if there are any updates missing so can you send me an email with the store details? I actually tested for this issue on my own site and the order status was set to cancelled after doing a partial refund. I tested again after your first fix on my own site and it was fine, but two of my clients still have the same issue after updating to the 'fixed' version. I've sent you FTP details *Contact Us**Buy The PHP Capture Card Plugin**Rate Our Services/View Our Feedback*
