Hi Ken, you need the database username and password, but sometimes it's the path to the database that can be difficult. These days, many of the hosting control panels will have an example of the connection path so you might see if you see anything there. Be sure you are also using the database user and password and not your hosting user and password.
Let us know if you are still having trouble.
Thanks, David

It seems I've gotten past that hurdle. Filezilla was not automatically uploading the file as I had thought, at least not to the right subdirectory.
Now, it's a: HTTP ERROR 500
I swear the set up on my original site wasn't this difficult.

Hi Ken, you can check your error logs on the server (your hosting control panel) to see if you can see the actual error, or your host can usually tell you. As you may be aware, the "500" is a generic response to keep hackers from getting feedback on errors to try to have your site.
Thanks, David

As a cheat, I had him copy the database from my original site.
The username, database name and password were changed after the copy over.
Could that cause an error?
The error on the log shows:
[Fri Apr 12 14:44:09.463468 2024] [autoindex:error] [pid 1772483:tid 47261908375296] [client 205.210.31.254:60364] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /home/te3kzob9wcjx/public_html/peachtreepilot/: No matching DirectoryIndex
The copy over should have been from austinflightcheck.

You mean entering?
https://centexlube.com/index.php
I'm still confused why it's bringing up Peachtree in the error.

I just need to hire someone or find another source for a template.
Anyone available?
I need someone who is not going to make changes in the background without a full discussion with me. The last guy I paid a hefty chunk to was through this site. He added references to his own site causing problems. The site is unusable for me as it is.

Hi Ken, I think it's more of an issue with your hosts settings, but in any case, if you want to click my username and send me the hosting address and login credentials, I should be able to fix it for you. Thanks, David

Hi Ken, there was an issue in your db_conn_open.php file where you must have accidentally dropped a closing ; from then end of the password line. There is now an error showing that just means you need to get the files and database on the same version. So run an updater there and that should get it running. Let me know if you still have issues.
Thanks, David
