Hello,

We just upgraded to version 7.6.4 and after credit card orders, it shows another screen (step 4?) on cart.asp before redirecting to thanks.asp.

Yesterday Authorize.net had some downtime, but we had an order with duplicate IDs. We tested and going back to step 3 did not seem to be an issue, so maybe it was just their servers being down.

1. Is there a way to disable that step 4?
2. Is there a way to prevent the user from going back during step 4?
3. Is there a way to prevent the user from going back once they have gotten to the thank you page?

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi Dermontti
When checking out with authorize.net that step 4 should be where the transaction details are sent to the payment processor and the order is authorized. If everything is working properly, as the order is now terminated if you refresh the page on step 4 it's not going to do anything as the order will be "closed." I think it is just the Auth.net downtime that was causing this issue as if the order is not successful then the order will not be closed.

Ok, thanks.

So there is no way to disable that step?

The old version did it on step 3.

Hi Dermontti
The card details are taken on Step 3 but are then posted to the cart so that they can be sent to Authorize.net. If you are using Auth.net AIM then this hasn't changed in a long while.

Ok, thanks again.

We may have had the original version of ECT and auth.net
