From v7.6.5 to version 7.7.6

updatestore.asp Line 1242
Incorrect_syntax_near_the_keyword_'DEFAULT'. HTTP/2.0

Am also unable to restore site to previous version. Keep getting syntax errors.

This is the error message as soon I click update button to start running updatestore.asp

Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'DEFAULT'.

/updatestore.asp, line 1242

Hi Marshall
From the error message it looks like you are using SQL Server, but the line that is erroring is only when the parameter sqlserver is not set. Could it be that you need to set this in your includes.asp file...

sqlserver=TRUE

It's not in there. I will try that right now.

DIDN'T WORK. As soon as I hit update, same thing

Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'DEFAULT'.

/updatestore.asp, line 1242

It stopped updating at this line:
Checking for Multiple Shipping Method upgrade

I will email you the FTP info

Hi Marshall
The site should be back up now and I think you hadn't added the sqlserver=TRUE parameter but maybe there was a bit of confusion about adding it. Anyway, I added the parameter to the db_conn_open.asp file (which is an even better place for it) and ran the updatestore.asp script and all is good now.
