order and inventory stock issue

steven vaccaro Ecommerce Template Guru USA 1045 Posts	Posted - 10/22/2024 : 08:03:21 What would make an order that is unauthorized, come thought "without" items, but the items are pulled from the inventory. The problem is, when I cancel that order, since there are no items there, the inventory isn't updated when I cancel the order.

So if the customer then removes items from the cart it shouldn't matter as stock has already been returned for those items. So it's correct that when you cancel the order the inventory isn't updated. If the inventory is out then that is a different matter, but it's not because of canceling an order that has no products. The last time a customer alerted me of the issue and I had to manually check the stock and fix it so he could order.

One thing I noticed when updating is that I check the cart pages in the process and thought that Chrome had crashed on me. But it turns out you've got the number of products per page set to 999 and that's so many items on the page that Chrome just locked up. I know most of your customers probably navigate the site via categories and so see less, but if they do the same as me they may think the site is broken and just leave.
