Hello,

I would like your advice how to setup the shipping costs for this scenario: the store sells two types of books. Soft cover shipping cost is 1.60 EUR and hard cover is at 2.50 EUR. For every item added to the cart, to add the relevant shipping cost as well. For example, if there are 2 soft cover and 3 hard cover books in the cart, the shipping cost to be (2 x 1.60) + (3 x 2.50)

If order is over 50 EUR then it is free (this one i created it in the discounts section). Shipping is only allowed in home country, I will have a notification to alert customers to send an email with their order if outside Germany.

Can you please explain how to implement this on the eshop admin panel??

I think you can do this with Weight Based Shipping as follows.
Set the weight of the soft cover books to 1.6 and the hard cover to 2.5
In the postal zones admin page make sure you have the option for only one shipping zone. Not the "Your admin settings are set to split your States into separate zones" option
In the column with the "Max Weight" just have one entry, for 0.1 with a cost also of 0.1
At the top "For every 0.1 above the highest weight, add another 0.1"

Then set up a Free Shipping discount above 50 Euros on the discounts admin page.

Many thanks for the reply. I tried the "Flat rate" shipping and defined in both Flat Rate Shipping (first item) and Flat Rate Shipping: (subsequent items) the same price (2.50).
Then for another item, i had 1.60 in both fields and when i tested it, the shipping costs were calculated correctly.
