The soft cart display has been completely overhauled and greatly improved for the display of discounts and taxes. Also, adding to cart using the soft cart will automatically update the mini cart display to keep the two in perfect synchronization.

When using weight or price based shipping split by states / counties with PayPal Express, and the paypal address contained a state or county that wasn't defined in the cart, the cart was unable to calculate shipping. Now on return from PayPal if this happenes the customer drops into the customer details form which will be pre-filled with all other address details, and allowing the customer to select their state from the dropdown as usual and proceed with the Express checkout flow. This normally only happened with UK stores where the counties are not as well defined as other countries.

Google tries to parse javascript to find links to images. Sometimes it finds what it thinks are links, but really they are not, but Google would still display these as a "broken link" in the webmaster tools. As Google do not look likely to change this behaviour we have changed parts of our code so these sections of javascript look less like links. This also results in somewhat more compact code and less "broken links" according to Google which could potentially help your Search Engine Positioning.

Some problems have been fixed where the dashboard could show incorrect totals for sales or an undefined status for all sales totals.

The zipposition parameter has been added so that you can change the position of the Zip / Postal Code field in the customer details portion of checkout to allow for some European countries where the zip commonly comes before other address elements.

Some changes have been made to the way the showtaxinclusive=3 setting works so that discounts are taken off the cart total and then tax is calculated on the remaining balance.

The admin discounts page now allows for the entry and modification of coupons and discounts to be "Expired". Previously a number had to be added to set a positive number of days that the discount was valid for.

A bug has been fixed in the admin orders page which could lead in some circumstances to status update emails not being sent.

A bug has been fixed in the admin orders page where some browsers would not display stock warnings for out of stock items when editing or creating orders.

In some cases on the product detail page if an image was specified for the Buy Button, the incorrect Back Order button image was used instead.

A problem has been fixed when using the usefsockforpaypalipn parameter with PayPal Payments.

The cart action when states are disabled entirely for the home country has been improved.

Some bugs have been fixed for FedEx SmartPost.

A bug has been fixed where tax inclusive prices were not properly displayed in the product detail page tabs.

Changes in the way the cart is assessed for PA-DSS means that we no longer have to have some of the more annoying features enabled by default. That means that by default you will not be logged out of admin after 15 minutes, that the admin back button will work, that you don't have to change your password every 90 days and can go back to an old favourite password. If you DO want to enable those features then just set the parameter...
