We're using First Data Payeezy as our payment provider but are having problems. I was thinking of switching to Authorize.net but I just found out that Payeezy uses Authorize.net so I'm confused. Can you clarify this? Are First Data Payeezy and Authorize.net the same thing? Or can I switch from Payeezy to Authorize.net? Thanks.

Hi Bob

There have been quite a few issues here with First Data Payeezy and one of the reasons we haven't supported them is their lack of response or support in return. They use an emulation of authorize.net meaning that the parameters used for auth.net work for FirstData, the difference being is that First Data process the order.

If you switch to authorize.net you also switch the company that does all the background stuff in processing an order and I'm sure it'll be a much smother ride for you.

OK. Thanks. Just read your instructions for setting up Authorize.net. Do I use AIM or SIM integration?

I would use AIM as I think it looks more professional. It does require an SSL certificate on the server.

Last question... How do I run authorize.net in test mode without disabling First Data? I still need to be able to take orders while testing.

What I do is set a login level in the restrictions field and then set up a customer account with that level so only I can use the checkout with the new payment provider.

I just set up authorize.net according to ECT and Authorize instructions and ran my first live order. I received the following error:

"I'm sorry, there was a problem with your transaction.
Transaction Result Invalid response: You are being redirected."

I set Relay Response URL to:
https://www.grabbarspecialists.com/vsadmin/wpconfirm.php

Any suggestions as to the problem would be appreciated.

Hi Bob

It may be the authorize.net emulation URL you probably have set in vsadmin/includes.php - can you comment that out of the file then try another order to see if that is the case?

You'd do that like this

//$authnetemulateurl=......

Changing vsadmin solved one of the problems...I think. I just found out that it takes 3-5 working days for Power Pay to activate a "Global page" or something like that. So I got rid of First Data and now have to hope that Power Pay, which I never heard of, is better. Thanks for the help though. You were right about the vsadmin change.

Powerpay (formerly e-onlinedata) should be fine - we've used them for the last 10 years or so without serious incidents.

Now that this post is a bit older, I'm wondering if there is any support for Payeezy yet..? I have worked with First Data before and they have been very good to me. I would very much like to use FD, but the account comes with Payeezy. Have there been any new developments with Payeezy? I'm trying to get someone to help me integrate with Payeezy but they are hesitant, due to this post.

Hi

I have seen some people use the authorize.net emulation for Payeezy and it's worked for them.
