I would like to refund through the ECT store. I see options like canceled. Can I do a partial refund to a customer through the web store by line items. For instance if they order 5 items, I can refund 1 item out of the five. I would also need to run a report on this like I can run a report on canceled items.

Hi Ardade, refunding a customer is done through the payment provider such as authorize.net or Paypal. In the admin you can edit the order to show that the item has been refunded, by changing the price to 0.00 I would also put next to the item name - refunded. I'm afraid there isn't a feature to run a report on cancelled items

I dont see where there is an "edit" the order feature. Maybe its on a newer version of the cart?

What we do, is enter a new order in the admin, and enter a negative quantity. (If they return one, enter -1 as the quantity)
Then send the customer an email receipt and process the refund through the payment provider.

after i update the order in the edit mode, how do i send the new amount over to Paypal? do i go to view order, open order and select the capture or something to charge the credit card the new amount? can it do this. say the intial charge was $10 and then i go and edit the order to $5, then capture or re-authorization with PayPal charge the credit card $5 only? Will it update the initial charge from $10 to $5?

Hi if you have not captured the funds then you would re-authorize the order.
