With the upgrade to the admin panel in 6.8.1, the tracking number entry is not directly associated with the order status anymore.

If I update order status as "shipped" or whatever, but need to add a tracking number later when it's available, I can't do it easily. There is no update button for the tracking number, and hitting enter after pasting in the tracking number does not work like it did before.

Can we get a fix for this?

The only workaround I could figure out was to change the order status back to authorized (which makes an update button appear), and then back to the shipped status - then click the update button. That is a lot of extra clicks and trouble.

When you enter a tracking number, the border there turns red. When you hit the return key, the border turns green and the number is set.
That's all there is to it really.

OK, I guess it makes sense. I see now that some javascript magic sticks it in the orders table in the database.

Maybe it could be more intuitive. Like some little green 10pt text below stating, "Tracking Number Entered".
I presume some folks will agree it's a little odd that this is the only new box/window on that page that has not blue submit button of some kind.

My vote would be to put tracking number entry back under the "Order Status" box, somewhat like it used to be.
