My client searched Google for "diy & trade coving cornice ireland" and got this result: "https://www.mystoreurl.ie/products/Basixx-and-Vidella-Coving?sprice=18"

There are 14 products in the "products/Basixx-and-Vidella-Coving" category but the Google result limits it to two in a specific price range.

"products/Basixx-and-Vidella-Coving" is listed in the site map but "products/Basixx-and-Vidella-Coving?sprice=18" is not.

Presumably Google have got a little too keen with the spidering.

Is there a way of preventing these price specific selectors from appearing in Google results?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim

What I would do is go into your Google Webmaster Account and and use the "URL Parameters" feature that is in the "Crawl" section.

Click on "Add parameter". You can set "?sprice" to "Does not affect page content" so that Google doesn't crawl and index pages with that parameter.

I'll edit your post so Google doesn't get the link
