I have searched the posts on here but cannot find a solution but I am sure it has been encountered before.
I have my site set to "English (UK)" in Wordpress and "Great Britain" in admin but I still get dates formatted in US (M-D-Y) or (Y-M-D) which is causing no end of problems when the correct date is a crucial element of the majority of our products.

Essentially I would like numeric-only dates shown in the form DD-MM-YYYY and script dates with DD-MMM-YYYY.
Time zone settings are fine as I have the relevant code in includes.php, is there a similar setting to force the date format?

One final "problem" which is annoying rather than critical:

The pop-up calendar used to select a date when ordering still submits a date in the form YYYY-MM-DD onto the cart output.
Is there a fix for this to put it into UK format?
