The website is windowvinyletchings.com

We just updated to PHP 6.7.3 from 6.6.4

This is an intermittent error that most frequently occurrs when accessed through Chrome.

I have posted a screenshot of the problem at http://windowvinyletchings.com/ect-problem.jpg

When a customer types in the desired quantity of the item option and clicks [Add to cart], instead of a nice small rectangle popping up on the page, showing "The following items have been added to your order," the entire product detail page and the pop-up is grayed-out, with only the checkout button on the top left of the page, an X on the top right of the page easily visible, and about 1/4 of the way down, two white bars with the price and the cart total. The title and details of the item being added to the cart are not easy to view through the gray on the screen.

Suggestions on how to fix it? I will be most grateful.

Thank you,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

You need to make sure that the latest ectcart.css file is linked from every store page on your site. As this is added to header.php that should be the case anyway so make sure you are using the latest version. If it is on every page and the latest version it may be that the page is cached and you are viewing the older cached css file.

Hi Andy,

Both the latest ectcart.css file is uploaded and it is linked in the header.php (it has been there since we first set this up). I have cleared the cache on both my PC and on the in the WP plug-in on the server.

Is there something else that needs to be checked? Could this be a server issue?

Thank you,

Jeff

Hi Andy,

I spoke with our hosting provider and after examining the error logs, we are increasing the memory on our managed virtual server. We will see if this intermittent problem disappears.

If you have any other insights, please let me know.

I do have another question about product option settings, however, I will post it in the PHP forum.

Thank you,

Jeff

Hi Jeff, I just took a look at the site and it displayed just fine when adding to cart. If you are still not seeing the correct layout can you try using a different browser to check the site.

I would also check if you have a cache plugin installed that might be causing the problem or if your host has something similar activated on their end.
