Hi

We have the flexslider css and need to change the speed of it to make the images change quicker - how do we go about doing this? Secondly, is it possible to have the images appear randomly?

Hi Ian, open jquery.flexslider.js and look for the section titled //FlexSlider: Default Settings there you will find slideshowSpeed you can adjust the number, also change randomize from false to true.

Thanks Sinbad. Can I also change the size of the slider to reduce the height of it?

Can you show us where you have it set up and we'll take a look?

I believe the slider height depends on the image height rather than anything in the css or script.

Hi Andy

If the size of the picture changes, the menu underneath still stays in the same position.

Can you make sure you changed all the images' heights? I'm pretty sure there's no height setting anywhere.

Hi Andy

I tried them both with a height of 350px and it made no difference, but I did notice that one of the images had a slight blur on it, so reduced it to 200px height and then put it up and it was noticeably blurrred. I can only conclude from that, that it makes the image as large as the space is.

.flexslider .slides img {
width: 100%;
display: block;
height:10px !important;
}

in flexislder.css would give you an image 10px high but as the image height isn't actually set I was assuming the slider depended on the "highest" image.

I would like to reduce the height of the shaded box within the slider, that contains the text. I reduced my image height(s), so now the text takes up alot of the room on the image.

I looked at the jquery.flexslider.js but I am unable to locate the line. Where might this be?

Just to be clear, what in this line determines the height of the box?

.banner_text_wrap { background:rgba(0,0,0,0.5); position:absolute; z-index:999; left:0; bottom:20px; color:#fff; width:80%; margin:0 10%; padding:15px; box-sizing:border-box; }

Reducing the padding didn't seem to make any difference. I also tried reducing the Margin but that didn't seem to make a difference either. I did reduce the font size from 40 to 30. That reduced the box height a little. It wasn't exactly what I was attempting but it will suffice.
